Spring?

Spring is sprung the sun is riz,
I wonder where da boides is.
Ah deres a boidie on the wing;
now aint dat a funny ting
I always tort the wing was on the boid

Often attributed to Spike Milligan and others, this is in fact (as far as I know) written by the famous writer "Anon"... other suggestions?

Here in southern Spain the weather has improved only slightly after a long period of heavy rain. Simply the worst in the memory of most who have lived here all their lives. Cold, damp, and miserable. This is the second really bad (cold/miserable) winter we have had in succession. 9 years ago I recall being in shorts and t-shirt in January... So far, we have had a little sun but more rain is heading our way and the season is a month behind what is 'normal' i.e. 300+ days of sunshine per year...
