Lawyers get off scot free

In a rather hidden manner with little public notice, the lawyers behind the war on terror torture approvals/justification are being let off with minor slaps on the wrists rather than the full censure that should be applied for the poor way in which they handled the matter. Here.

As an important note, newspapers report that specific Guantanemo detainees are being transferred to 'Country X' (where 'X' could be anywhere). What is not made clear is that this does NOT mean that they are going free. If anything, they will simply 'disappear' from public view i.e. they will predominantly all remain in detention for unspecified periods of time. Obama may have ruled out torture but the detention issue is one that will not go away...
