This Times article here (apart from the apostrophe debate) has an interesting 'head' line story re the actual pirate himself being beheaded and walking past 11 of his fellow pirates before being tripped up...

Incidentally, 'Störtebeker' is old German which roughly translated means 'to empty a glass in one gulp'. Klaus, being a fine pirate, was (apparently) able to empty a four litre jug in one go. Now, I have managed to consume four separate litres of beer in many a biergarten (thank you, Munich), but never in one go...
