Totally nifty foldy-uppy thingy

For all you trailer fans with little or no space ... here.

An excellently useful tool ... here.

Skype Call Recorder

If you have Skype and need to record stuff (for whatever reason) here is something for you.

An Amazing Folding Plug

Thanks to MD for pointing out this rather splendid device. I believe it is still in concept stage but let us hope it gets somewhere. Currently appears to be only for UK plugs but time will tell. I particularly like the slot in multi-plug adapter and USB charger. The web site is here but does not have information re the new plug.

I think that they could also look at the way the Palm Pilot adapter works/ed with the slot over pin adapter for multi-country.

A YT video is here.

Their website terms and conditions are somewhat onerous and mixed in with the T&C for using their product/s but, apart from that, it looks good.

Kludgeworthy

Over here at this site... here.

Blood Trail

This is a piece from Nathan Love. Note to the squeamish or sensitive and anyone else of a delicate disposition... the title says it all. This link contains stuff that will make you want to hide INSIDE the sofa rather than behind it. You have been warned... here.

November 9th, 1989

It is interesting to note that this coming November will be the 20th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall. YouTube has a fascinating (although odd use of tense) info-graphic animation covering the structure of the wall itself... here.

This is just so... Wrong...

... as well as sad... here.

Air France Crash

As this story slowly slides down the front pages as a story worthy of note, I happened across a paragraph in a Wall Street Journal story covering the search for the black boxes and the likely causes of the crash. One theory is a massive failure of computers controlling flight systems. In relation to this, here is one thing that caught my eye:

"The investigators stress it is too early to pinpoint specific causes. But whatever the eventual findings, the crash already is prompting questions about how thoroughly aviators are trained to cope with widespread computer glitches midflight."

It is not just me but that sort of reads "The pilot/s are not trained to fly a play without any computers an d have become overly reliant upon them." i.e., they manage rather than fly the plane. In fact, the article does go on to cover this... here.
