When you watch a program such as this one here you can easily see how formulaic the structure is with all of the 'standard' camera snippets designed to give the viewer a feel-good factor from watching something that is essentially mindless twaddle with little value or benefit. You would see equal or far better performances by street musicians IF you went out and walked around. Instead you get the shot of a grandma, smiling girl, cute child, cute presenter/s for both sexes, the serious presenter for the undecided, and quick camera switches before you get a chance to formulate an opinion that the whole shebang IS mindless twaddle.
