Hmmm. We are all expected to believe that 19 - 20 times the amount of oil spilled with the Exxon Valdez accident has magicked away. 21 years after the EV disaster (which was avoidable and due to poor maintenance and cost cutting so crews were less than half required to man the vessel properly) there are still huge areas of the Prince William Sound that are essentially 'dead' and the economic impact is still being felt. Incidentally, the accident resulted in the creation of Credit Default Swaps which brought about the current dire economic crisis... odd bit of synchronicity.
The reports that large areas were burnt off or dispersed (to where?) with a highly environmentally toxic chemical just make no sense and/or there is no reliable information regarding this. To burn that amount of oil would result in huge toxic clouds that would have deposited themselves over Florida. I have researched all of the different 'marine biologists' quoted in the press that I have found and have yet to find one who can truly be said to be 'independent'.
You should check out the NASA images of the spill and ask the simple questions like:
IF the oil has been so successfully cleared up would the various parties involved want to show people how wonderful they have been at achieving this?
How many ships/planes would be needed to drop dispersant sufficient to clear such a huge area?
Why are the press still forbidden from flying over the areas and also from inspecting/filming areas where cleanup of beaches etc where pollution has occurred?
Where is the clearly huge amount of oil being taken to after removal?
Why are the people promised payments still waiting to receive their checks?
... and so on.
Again, without any conspiracy theory involved, the sheer logistics of managing this huge spill simply do not add up. I will cover this in a little more detail shortly...
