The Times now requires registration

UPDATE

As predicted, The Times has lost 50% (yep, FIFTY percent) of their traffic due to their implementing their registration requirement to view content. Here. The comments are VERY telling...

I just tried to view an article on the Times.co.uk site. It asked me to register for a 'free preview'. Sorry? Looking at their front page, there are other news sites covering the same stories with both the same and different political slant that do not make this worthwhile or worth paying for. There are a couple of things that may be of interest, but not worth the effort of registering and then paying.

As I stated previously, there are far too many things vying for my attention that are far better, there is simply not enough 'value' when most of the front page is covered extensively for free elsewhere. e.g., the Capello incident with the photographers at the training camp. Simply typing this reveals a host of alternatives - one of which is the timesonline.co.uk article.

Hey Times... you just lost a visitor and I have cleared one of my bookmarks... I am already paying for my internet access and it offers billions of pages for me to visit.
