Identifying two plants

The first plant above I grew from the seed of a fruit I bought in the Queen Victoria Market, Melbourne, four years ago. I ate and enjoyed it so much I kept some seeds. So much so that I forgot what it was. Recently, I was going through some chili seeds and found an envelope containing about 10 seeds. I planted these and six have grown. I do not have the faintest idea what it is. The seed is almost melon like. Dark black and ribbed. This is what is growing and is representative of the plant after about 3 weeks of growth. They are all about 2-2.5cm high currently. Suggestions anyone? The market itself has a huge range of fruits with lots of Asian ones. Rather than mislead, it could be native to Oz or otherwise. I simply do not know.
The second is a succulent (???) I bought when it was small. Now it is about 15-16.5 cm tall and needs support as there appear to be some new 'babies' or flowers growing at the top.

Any assistance in identifying these two would be gratefully appreciated?
