Deep Purple were a band he represented a large part of my youth and music listening. I met Lord and other band members in my local pub when they were recording at a nearby recording studio. This was the same pub where Rick Wakeman was berated by the landlord when he started to play the piano as 'you might damage it and Sid would get angry' (SId being the Saturday night keyboard mangler and pub singer...
