The New SimCity

While the new (2013) SimCity does have some significant beauty to it, there will be a requirement (I do not have full details) for you to be in an 'always on' internet connection. Great if you are in a position to be so, but not if you want to get away from it all and play a game as a distraction... i.e. disconnect. Why should this really be necessary? EA's justification for this is rather weak for what is after all a game. Are they saying that impact is 'immediate'? If so, they need to openly publish their game data update schedules. All that glitters is not necessarily gold... here.
