In a little explored corner of the interwebtubenets of which Google occupies a big chunk and explores the rest, there is Google Trends. So now, using a little bit of nonce, you can really compare chalk with cheese... or anything else for that matter. Simply put in a couple (or more) of terms and Bob is your Aunty... or whatever... e.g. Cain, Romney, Obama. Anyone who is used to looking at trends will extract a clear indication (or not) of how the parameters stack up... go and play and come back with some bright ideas for the peeps... it is rather good and is based upon stats that many companies would die for...
