Recent research has found the ´Mayan´ crystal skulls to have been made in Germany. So, all of the mysticism and fantasy stories built around their use as a means to will death etc are completely bogus... in fact made in the town of Idar-Oberstein in Rheinland-Palantine... more information here. Still (according to believers in the Mayan calendar) they will be of little value after December 21st 2012...
