The World Cup - An Update

Previously I blogged about the violence people are facing in South Africa from the Red Ants. I suggested that it would be a good idea to email UEFA and their sponsors regarding this. I did and from feedback I received quite a few others did to. Perhaps this will come as no surprise but, in common with others, I have received nothing at all in way of a reply to this. Correction! I did receive a response from Budweisser (note, I am not from Louisiana):

"Thanks for the e-mail. It’s always great to hear from a fellow St. Louisian and I appreciate you getting in touch.

Please know that right after I send this e-mail, I’m going to go ahead and share your feedback throughout our company. If there is ever anything I can do to help you out in the future, please don’t hesitate to give me a call or shoot me an e-mail."

Clearly, the sponsors, like UEFA, do not give a toss about brutal beatings when profit is concerned. If the situation changes I will let you know. I assume that Walkers Crisps would come under the same blame as they too are marketing World Cup Crisps...
