Slow start to Spring

Here in Spain the weather is intermittently warm, cold, wet, hot... thunder. Getting things to grow is proving slow and difficult. This year the apple tree, grown from seed and in its sixth year, is now in full bloom. Last year the blossom had already gone and the first evidence of fruit was beginning to show. Looks like the bees are working overtime to make up for the delay. Look at the pollen sacs.
