Airline Bailout

I understand that many of the airlines are requesting a bailout due to the financial loss incurred after flight cancellations due to the Icelandic volcano eruption. Now, let me see, were I to run a company that experienced financial problems, operated on such thin margins that a closure of trading for 5 or more days led to my business being in dire need of emergency relief from the government, then I would clearly be concerned over the management of that company. Now, let me see, there are many people who have suffered significant loss for the same reason. I am sure the airlines will see fit to ensure every one of their customers is equally compensated.
