Content v A sale

I thought at first I was imagining things. Then I re-read. I did some background checking. I shook my head.

Under the 'Explore', 'New Stories', headings was a sub-heading (note this is under 'stories') "Fat epidemic linked to chemicals run amok". As I read further I noted a change in the writing style ('pace') of the article that made me sit back and do a double take. Clearly, the content was part extract/s from a book and part sales pitch for a book. As I read further I noted this even more and, sure enough, this is NOT a 'story' or 'News', it is blatant marketing for a book.

Clearly, it is important to know if something is in fact being used to sell something to you rather than have it disguised as a story. Shame on MSNBC!!!! Here.
