Britain is beautiful country and i feel blessed i was born here and have the life i do, we at least ow it back to the world being in such privileged position to be strong voice in protecting it and do all we can to lead the way. Archbishop has good point yet the church should of been more outspoken 100/200 years ago and maybe we wouldn't be in this mess and now there nothing but a joke and horrible cult that views are outdated and insulting to a lot of people on other subjects.

Maybe it is me but, even with the most tolerant approach to grammar, I find it disturbing that people write in this way. There is either some strange form of retardation 'flu', the funny farm has let people out, or the British Education system is clearly failing. Credit for making the commentary is due. Credit for adding an important viewpoint. Debit for assuming posting like this is "OK"...

I am not perfect and make mistakes but......... per-lease.

There are some wonderful mash-ups over at Boing-Boing following the latest 'there are terrorists out there' campaign by the London police.

Some people may find similarities between this and events in Germany in the 30's.

As the example above rightly shows, reality is far more complex. Not knocking an awareness campaign but the police campaign is far more sinister and alarmist. "Be afraid, be very afraid" etc. Statistically, the likelihood of you being in the same town as a 'terrorist' is minimal. Spending your time reading this sort of thing is more likely to get you run over by a 'terrorist' bus or give you medical problems through false anxiety.

When someone is anxious they are more pliant.

Good grief.

Bank Bailout

We have this big steaming pile left over from the mishandling and inappropriate greed and profiteering of the banks. This pile is so bad that it is toxic. What shall we do? "I know. Let's sell it to some other suckers so that the guilty parties do not lose and can continue without us punishing them for it".
