The alarm spread and being spread regarding the risks associated with the pandemic of H1N1 has, so far, proven to be just that, alarmist. As a result, the press, medical 'specialists', and governments rushed out to push the importance of vaccination in order to prevent the spread. Sadly, the pushing of Tamiflu and related products as the solution when with basic research clearly is/was not has done little to help those stressing the importance of mass vaccination. With little publicity matching the bold headlines announcing the coming pandemic, this article highlights the doubts and concerns being raised regarding the completeness of the research and the release of all data from this. Governments have rushed out and stocked up on a product that, at best, relieves the symptoms of H1N1. The UK government has stocks sufficient for half the UK population and has spent 1.6 Billion in doing so. Clearly some questions need to be asked regarding the clear motive of profit Big Pharma have to promote fear of a pandemic.
