The new version of Windows version 7 shipped across Europe does not come with a web browser a part of the installation. This is due to the EU fighting against Windows having a monopoly market.
So, how do you get a web browser installed if you cannot get onto a web site? Easy-peasy of course...
1. Click on the Start button.
2. In the "Start Search" bar at the bottom of the pop up screen type in:
‘hh http://getfirefox.com’ (no need to use the quotes).
3. Stretch the window using your mouse and click on the Download button.
4. Click "Yes" to any script warning messages.
5. Select Save.
You will now have the Firefox installation file... surf away after installation.
This method uses the integrated Windows online help system.
