Blind Interpreter Arrested at Philadelphia Airport

Passengers on a US Airways flight from Philadelphia airport boarded their plane and were taxied around the airport for about two hours with little or no explanation ("a mechanical fault"). They were not allowed to use their phones and were not provided with food or water. They were not even allowed to leave their seats. Nicola Cantisani stood up to demand a glass of water and more information from the crew. He was ordered to sit down.

In yet another example of abusive treatment of passengers and excessive force, police arrested the man, performed a "blind test", determined he was not blind, and hauled him off to jail. Along the way he lost his white stick.
