Smelling Pistakes

Being married to an American has many blessings. One of these is the linguistic challenges that are regularly presented to an English speaker like myself (e.g. I call those things in the picture above TOE-MAR-TOES and not TOE-MAY-TOES (at this point you may break into mental singing of "you say ... and I say")). If you look back through my blogs you will notice I spell 'scarey' the way I was taught (Queens English etc). Wife being who she is points out that this site is the DB ( 1. 2. 3.) of web based dictionaries.

And, latest comment is "How old is Windows 2000?". Almost as good as what number do I dial for the emergency services?

Additionally she commented "Sadly, 1% of the blog visitors already are Vista users". Now that IS a review of Windows Vista!

the pepperman doth not tell the truth. in fact, just yesterday he corrected himself after referring to the pictured fruit as to-MAY-toes. he also uses BAY-sil in italian sauces.
