I will make no comments regarding people making the choice to have a flu jab. The benefits and relevance to each individual have to be weighed against the potential for a period of feeling crappy/ill/etc and the likelihood of your infecting others. Recently an American woman had the flu jab and ten days later her life changed dramatically. The YT video is here.

The Pew Research Center (Americanised I know) has an interesting set of data representing several social trends in the US. This particular one, covering marriage, divorce etc., triggered off some interesting thought processes. e.g. why is divorce higher in the Bible Belt yet lower in the so called 'promiscuous' States like Massachusetts?
Similarly, The Economist has a separate article on the same subject.
Clearly there are moral principles and norms...
